GOOD CANDIDATES FOR POWDER BROW TATTOO
If you fill in your brows every day, make frequent brow tinting appointments or are simply unhappy with the shape of your brows, you may be considering a semi-permanent solution. Powder brows are the perfect fix for any brow troubles. Bailey’s powder brow style is a natural “your brows but better” result.
All skin types are considered good for powder brows but there are a few things that would make a person unfit for any type of tattoo. If you are pregnant or nursing, if you are taking blood thinning medications, if you suffer form eczema or psoriasis in the eyebrow area and anyone under radiotherapy or chemotherapy treatment are not good candidates for tattoo. If you are unsure if powder brow tattoo is right for you because of medical reasons, please consult with your doctor.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Powder brows are a process. There are 2 appointments, the first appointment taking 2-2.5 hours. You will fill out paper work, we have a mini consultation, create your perfect shape with brow product as your “stencil” and then the tattoo procedure. After your appointment, you are to follow an aftercare plan for 7-10 days. After 6 weeks, a touch-up session is recommended to perfect your brows. Powder brows are done with a rotary machine, implanting pigment that can last 1-3 years after your first session.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM MICROBLADING?
powder = single needle machine microblading = multiple needle “blade” manual tool
Microblading is creating cuts into the skin and adding in pigment; done manually with a handheld tool. Powder brow is adding shading to your brows with a soft touch machine, creating a look similar to brow powder or tint. I do not microblade nor do I work over previous microblading.
A brow tint is the process of applying dye that is safe and formulated specifically for eyebrows. There is a range of shades that will be customized for you. It is perfect for people who enjoy their brows appearing filled and defined. This is also good for those who have minimal sparse areas while growing out their brows.
Brow Lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that realigns the direction of brow hair and creates an instant look of added volume, fullness and fluffiness! Lasting 3-5 weeks, Brow Lamination is a solution for clients with stubborn hair growth, course unruly brows, or brows that do not stay in place. Paired with an optional Brow Shaping and/or Brow Tint, Brow Lamination can work wonders and eliminate the need for daily maintenance, even for clients with powder brows.
This treatment is similar to a ‘Lash Lift’, however, Brow Lamination has been specifically formulated to perfectly shape and set brow hair without over processing, and while maintaining a PH level that remains gentle on sensitive facial skin. This 3-step process that lasts until the brow hairs have completed their growth cycle, which is typically 6-8 weeks.

HOW WILL I LOOK AFTER MY APPOINTMENT?
Right after your appointment your brows may be slightly swollen,a little red and more saturated in color. The brows will look darker at first and soften as they heal. During the healing process you will experience some peeling similar to a sunburn or slight crusting for a few days. You can still wear makeup so long as you avoid your eyebrows. For 7-10 days you will wash your brows with a mild soap (ex. anti-bacterial) morning and night. Around day 3 you will experience itching and peeling, you will then apply a paper thin layer of the proper aftercare ointment provided. Washing daily will help the brows naturally exfoliate. Once healed you may touch up your brows with product if needed in-between sessions.
MAINTENANCE
It is recommended that you touch up your brows every 1-3 years. The retention of pigment varies with every client because of skin type and lifestyle. To insure the best and longest lasting result, avoid chemical peels, laser treatments and certain over the counter skin care products (ex. vitamin C/ retinol) on your brows.Always protect your brows with sunscreen if spending lots of time in the sun, just as you would with any tattoo.Powder brows are meant to be low maintenance but are not considered “no maintenance”. You may still need a little product if you desire a darker, more dramatic brow look.Powder brows do not remove brow hair so regular brow clean up is still needed.Powder brows do not tint brow hair.
During the first 24-48 hours, avoid any direct contact with water. After, then you may proceed with your regular makeup and skincare routines. The dye (tint) lasts on your brows for 1.5-3 weeks. 1-2 weeks on skin, and 2-3 weeks on hairs. During that time they can appear filled-in.
Do not wet your brows for 24-48 hours
•
Avoid touching the brow area to the risk of transferring oils
•
Do not apply makeup to the brows for 24-hours post-treatment
•
Do not apply Retin A, AHA or exfoliate the brow area for 72-hours before or after the treatment
•
Do not use any self-tanning products on the face for at least 48-hours post-treatment
•
Comb the hairs into place and apply oils each day
Lip Blush is a semi-permanent form of permanent makeup, designed to enhance the natural shape and color of your lips. This treatment is carefully preformed with a rotary tattoo machine and a method called "pixelating."
HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT LAST
The appointment will take a minimum of two hours.
What should I expect at my appointment?
A consultation will be conducted to discuss color theory and desired goals. Next, a topical anaesthetic will be applied for 20 minutes. Afterwards an outline of the desired lip will be drawn on so you can preview the shape and contour of your new "lips."
CAN I DO LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE FILLER?
Yes, if you get lip filler, please ensure you get this either 4 weeks before or after the lip blush procedure.

Thyroid disease

Anaemia
•

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER PROCEDURE?This procedure will cause significant swelling after treatment is preformed, to minimize the swelling you can apply ice to the area for 15 minutes at a time. During healing there will be scabbing and flaking of the new skin, which is completely normal. Allow this to fall off on its own. The tone, texture and color may appear uneven during the healing process, but please allow time for this to even out. Typically lip blushing last 1-3 years and will gradually fade.
